How does the new Dyson fan work?
Fan, Air Multiplier, Air Cooler, whatever. I experienced one that was on display at Kohl's. I assume that there is a fan in the base facing upward, and that the air is split and directed by plastic baffles. But that is merely a guess. Do you know how it works?
Hi, it's Ryan from Dyson Customer Service. Air is drawn into the base of the machine which is then forced up into the loop amplifier and accelerated through the 1.3mm annular aperture, creating an annular jet of air that hugs the airfoil-shaped ramp. While exiting the loop amplifier, the jet pulls air from behind the fan into the airflow (inducement). At the same time, the surrounding air from the front and sides of the machine are forced into the air stream (entrainment), amplifying it 15-18 times depending on the model. The result is a constant uninterrupted stream of smooth air. Vornado Midsize 630 Air Circulator, 3 Speeds, CR1-0074-06
The 630B air circulator continue's Vornado's superior benchmark performance with a new edge definition design. With its unique signature grill and depp-pitched propeller, the 630B moves air up to 70 feet, while aerodynamically circulating all the air in a room. The 3-speed control, located on the side of the air circulator's base, is easy to access and allows for speed selection to meet any circulation need. The base of the 630B provides added stability when operating from the floor or desktop. Use the 630B all year long in the home or office for added comfort and energy savings in every season. You will...feel the difference.

How does the new Dyson Fan work? 10 points!!!?
HOW DOES IT WORK???
i know it blows air i mean normal fans have a propeller but this fan doesn't...
It works by the Bernoulli effect. A small stream of high velocity air is ejected from holes along its rim. That air flowing causes a low pressure in the ring, drawing in a large volume of air from behind, which is ejected out front. I have a shop tool that works the same way, except that it is moch smaller, and works from the shop compressed air. The ring part is reversible, so can point the other way, and basically become a vacuum.
How does a dyson fan work? On their website they say it is an annular jet? What is this?
google air knives, air foil, and laminar flow. The annular jet is simply an air knife bent into a circle.
How does the new Dyson fan with no blades work?
I was watching this Dyson commercial for a new kind of fan that looks like a circle and has no blades but yet it emits a steady stream of air??? How in the hell does that work? The guy literally put his hand through it!!! Could you please help me figure this out??? Thanks!
